SpeechLive Help

Set up your dictation hardware with SpeechLive

SpeechLive supports sound recording from all microphone devices covered in this guide, without any additional installation (see Problems with sound recording for more information). However, the buttons of your SpeechMike or SpeechOne are only supported by using the correct button mode or installing additional components. Depending on your working environment, the Philips foot control only works by installing additional components.

The following step-by-step guide is designed to help you to choose the correct installation method for your dictation hardware. Please start by choosing your work environment:

I use SpeechLive on a local computer

Choose this option if you are working on a local computer. In this case your programs including SpeechLive in your browser are running on your local computer.

Note

  • We recommend to choose local if you’re not sure which option is more suitable for you.

  • Please contact your SpeechLive administrator to determinate in which environment you're using SpeechLive.

I use SpeechLive in a virtual environment.

Choose this option if you are using SpeechLive in a virtual environment. In this case, your browser is running in a remote session (e.g. via Citrix, VMware or RDP).

Note

  • We recommend to choose local if you’re not sure which option is more suitable for you.

  • Please contact your SpeechLive administrator to determinate in which environment you're using SpeechLive.
